We are so excited to share GBC's Homecoming with you on Sunday, October 13!
That day we will:

-have a combined worship service at 10:30 am in the Worship Center
-celebrate Rev. Ken Holden as our new Pastor Emeritus
-take a church family picture immediately after worship in the Worship Center
-enjoy a potluck lunch after worship in the Fellowship Hall
No matter if you're here every week or haven't been in a while, we would love to be with you on this special day as we celebrate God's faithfulness in our past and anticipate a joy filled future.
Deacon Nominations Open
Nominations for Deacons are now open. You can read about our updated process here. After you have spoken with the nominee, please fill out a Deacon Nomination Form found in the Hub or online by clicking here or below. Nominations will be accepted through Sunday, October 27.
We Will Feed You
We Will Feed You (any college students who worships with us at our 11 am worship service on Sundays)! After worship concludes, meet by the cross in the sanctuary where one of our pastors or members will take you out to lunch.
2024 Deacon Nominations
Help us choose our servant leaders in this year’s Deacon Election. This summer we voted to change our election process, so we invite you to prayerfully consider who you would nominate to serve as a deacon. You can find the list of eligible members in the Hub as well as more information about the nomination process.
1: See Who is Eligible
In the Hub you will find a list posted of those GBC members who are eligible to serve as a deacon. These are women and men who are at least 21 years old, active in the life of our church, have been a member for at least a year, and are not currently serving as a deacon.
2: Prayerfully Consider
From this list, prayerfully consider who you would nominate to serve our church. Who is “worthy of respect” (1 Timothy 3:8) and “known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom” (Acts 6:3)? Who do you see serving already? Who might be quietly serving among us?
3: Have a Conversation
After you have identified individual(s) whose gifts of service and leadership you recognize, have a conversation withhim/her. Share why you would like to nominate her/him to serve. Ask if they would be willing to serve our congregation in this way.
4: Officially Nominate
If after consideration and prayer she/he agree to be nominated, please fill out a Deacon Nomination Form. Include your name (nominator), his/her name (nominee), and check that you have received their “yes” to serve if elected. Nominations will be accepted until Sunday, October 27.
Fall Operation Inasmuch
The King will reply, "Truly I tell you, inasmuch as you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." -Matthew 25:40
